Children

The Child Care Program of the Municipality of Arroyo at the Mis Primeros Pasos Center is committed to providing excellent services to 30 preschool children (3 to 4 years and 11 months) from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Our program is designed to develop skills and abilities appropriate to the age of our children, offering structured educational activities carried out through a daily Program to ensure stimulating and effective learning.

Our highly trained staff conduct thorough inspections of children upon entering and leaving the centre, ensuring that they are in a safe and well-cared-for environment. In addition, we conduct emergency management drills to prepare children and staff for any eventuality.

We foster parent-child integration through extracurricular activities that strengthen bonds and create unforgettable moments. By instilling values in our children, we cultivate their character and sense of community.

Our commitment to early childhood extends to parents, offering them training and support to promote better parenting. Together, we build a community of learning, safety, and love at My First Steps.

Our staff at Mis Primeros Pasos Care and Development Center is an interdisciplinary team that works together to ensure quality development and a positive experience for our children. Our team is made up of professionals who are committed to their roles, including 2 preschool teachers with a Bachelor's degree in elementary education and a CDA certification, who create a stimulating environment; 3 teacher assistants with CDA certification, who work as a team with the teachers, to ensure supervision and individualized assistance to our children; a kitchen manager and a cook to provide nutritious meals, planned by a nutritionist from the Food and Nutrition Program (PACNA); a nurse to attend to the health needs of the children; maintenance staff to create a safe and welcoming environment; a clerk to manage paperwork and communication; and an administrative assistant to support center operations. A director with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with early childhood education credits and a CDA credential to oversee daily operations. Each staff member contributes to the growth and well-being of the children in our care and development center, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
