Office

Federal Programs

The Federal Programs Office serves as a link between the funds offered by the Federal Government and the Municipality of Arroyo. Its main purpose is to assist low-income people with programs and services to improve their quality of life.

This office administers CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) and Section 8 Funds through the Office of the Commissioner for Municipal Affairs. These funds offer the following services: Housing Rehabilitation, Housekeeping, Economic Development Projects and Community Development, among others.

Section 8 is a program that offers subsidies for property rentals to low-income families. In the Federal Programs Office, Federal and State proposals are prepared requesting funds for the Municipality.
